Fishing is allowed from 7am to dusk in any lake, canal or stream in The Villages that can be reached without crossing over privately owned land or golf course property - with the exception of areas with "No Fishing" signs posted. Notable "No Fishing" areas include Lake Sumter and Harmeswood. You will not require a fishing license if you are over 65 years of age, are a full-time resident of Florida and possess a Florida drivers license or ID card.
